In addition to being a powerful motivational speaker and graduate of the Fearless Speaker Academy, John holds an MFA in classical acting from the Professional Theater Training Program at the University of Delaware. His honors include being a two-time winner of the Ira Aldridge Acting Competition, sponsored by actor Ted Lange, 1st place winner at the American College Theater Festival, and a two-time nominee for the Irene Ryan Acting Award!
As a singer/songwriter, John's autobiographical song, Black/White & Red/White & Blue (about being a multi-culture American) beat out over 300 other songs to win the 1st Bar Songwriting Competition, at the Inner City Cultural Center in Los Angeles. He performed his award-winning song, Black/ live at ABC studios in New York, on the popular show “The View”.
